Welcome ...
... to the 50th Anniversary Journal of Crestwood Christian Church!
This website is the virtual home of Crestwood's 50th Anniversary Celebration. It is intended for all members of Crestwood's extended family, including current and former members of the congregation, friends of the church, and sister churches in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
A newsletter, photo album, scrapbook and
discussion board
Here you will find news about the 50th anniversary celebration; pictures from recent events; the story of Crestwood's birth; a collection of historical documents and photographs; and other material as well. New content will be added throughout 2009, as the celebration continues.

But this journal will not be complete without something only you can provide — your input! We encourage you to share your fond memories of Crestwood's history; your thoughts and feelings as we celebrate its 50th anniversary; and your ideas and comments regarding the celebration. If you have enjoyed a "Crestwood connection" at any time in your life, this journal is yours to read — and to write! |
You can provide your input by posting a general comment on the Comment Form, or by posting a comment about a particular subject on any page that includes a comment form. You can post comments at any time, as often as you like, so don't wait to add your name to the list of visitors on the Visitor Comment page. The Anniversary Committee will appreciate all comments, and will use them to guide its efforts throughout 2009.
A book in progress
The Anniversary Committee also plans to use this website as a place to share preliminary draft chapters of a complete, fifty-year history of Crestwood. You will have the opportunity to read and comment on the draft of each chapter when it appears on this site, and we hope you will do so. We hope to publish the final, polished document as a keepsake-quality book near the end of 2009, after receiving the benefit of everyone's input and participation.
Make yourself at home
I encourage you to poke around in these pages, as I am confident you find many things of interest to you. Use the bookmarks on the right to begin anywhere you like, then jump around as you wish.
We're glad you have dropped in. You're part of the family, so make yourself at home! You can't hurt anything by posting a comment, and I will clean up after you if something goes wrong.
~ Ben Cowgill, Chair, 50th Anniversary Committee
