From TechShow to LexThink

ABA TechShow 2005 wrapped up yesterday but I'm still in Chicago for LexThink, a gathering of about fifty lawyers, accountants, technologists and consultants from all over the United States and Canada.  We will spend the day together in an Open Spaces brainstorming session with a single goal: to design the ultimate new-millennium professional services firm.

We're meeting at the Catalyst Ranch, an extremely cool meeting space in the West Loop of Chicago. As I write this post, the room is filling up with people and technology for the morning session.  The sun is pouring in, the music and the coffee are both hot, and the space is charged with an air of anticipation.  Some of the attendees have known each other over the net for a year or more but are meeting in "3D" for the first time this morning.

I should mention that this remarkable project was conceived and organized by Dennis Kennedy, Matt Homann and Sherry Fowler, three net-savvy lawyers who are well-known in the world of law-related weblogs.  Dennis and Matt were both presenters at multiple programs during ABA TechShow, and their presentations were very well received.
